Serving the medically uninsured in Hagerstown and Washington County, MD since 1990.

The Community Free Clinic is a resource that addresses the needs of the medically uninsured in Washington County, MD.  Our Clinic opened its doors in 1990. Today, the Community Free Clinic continues to provide free medical care and prescription medication to Washington County residents free of charge. Many of our patients are facing life threatening situations when they enter Clinic doors. Often times patients are forced to make the choice between food and shelter or much needed medications. The Clinic not only addresses medical needs, but also acts as a resource to direct patients to other community organizations that may offer additional assistance or services.

The Clinic has experienced steady growth and offers services beyond what we ever imagined possible. This has become a reality through the continued support of the citizens and organizations of Washington County. That the community supports such an organization through all of it's growing pains is only a tribute to the values embraced by our supporters. The Community Free Clinic is not State or Federally funded. The Community Free Clinic has grown and has been nurtured through the support of local citizens and organizations. Currently, the Clinic is struggling to meet the demand for our services.  With the economic crisis our country is facing more and more individuals are seeking Clinic services while monetary contributions to the Clinic are decreasing.  We need the financial support of our community now more than ever before we are forced to close our doors to new patients. Consideration and responsibility for the well being of our community is reflected in the continued success of our Clinic. This is the Community's Free Clinic. The staff and volunteers responsible for the day to day operations are truly just the caretakers of this amazing resource. The Clinic is blessed and we are very grateful.
