The Community Free Clinic is a free standing, grassroots organization
that is not state or federally funded. The Clinic is supported solely by the generosity of the Washington County
community, small foundation grants, businesses, fundraising, the Washington County Health System, Washington County Health
Department, United Way of Washington County, City of Hagerstown, and the Washington County Gaming Commission.
The Clinic also sends three fundraising mailers annually.
Between 2004 and 2008 the Clinic has experienced an
ever increasing demand for Clinic services. This means an increase in ancillary services as well, such as lab work,
prescription medication, medical supplies, etc., which the Clinic has to purchase. Those services and supplies are not
free to the Clinic. Funding has become an even greater problem with the clinic's growth and steady demand for services.
The Clinic seeks funding on a continual basis.
We welcome and need your contribution. Every dollar contributed makes a
difference in someone's life. Contributions can be forwarded to the Clinic at 249 Mill Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740
or made online through this website.
The Clinic continually faces funding challenges and as long as the demand for services
continues to increase so will the demand for funding.
